It's Friday!!! Here we are, heading into the final workday of a typical work week! The hubby was 'supposed' to have the weekend off, he technically only works every 6th weekend BUT his Sergent screwed up and scheduled him to work both this weekend and the next (he just worked the weekend 2 weeks ago). The hubby, being one to never turn overtime down said to leave this weekend as it is and just fix next weekend. Sadly, Middle Daughter got herself grounded this weekend but it works out in my favor being my back is trying to go out on me. I'm DYING for a shower but when my back is acting up like this, I'm not stupid enough to try. I've ended up being stuck in the floor, unable to get up due to my back going out on me. Oh well, maybe Oldest Daughter will be willing to watch Little Man this afternoon after his nap so I can try to shower and she'd be here for backup should my back go all the way out on me. Howdy all! We are halfway through the week! I hope everyone is doing well and apologize for being later than normal in posting the thread today. I've actually been up since 4 this morning and about the time I pulled the site up to do the post, the hubby decided he wanted to discuss options of what to do when the state finally settles the eminent domain case we have in the next month or so. I 'think' we have a plan going forward, time will tell though as life has a way of messing up the best laid plans lol! So what's everyone up to? I'm sitting here trying to tune out Little Man's favorite show, Dinotrux, while trying to somewhat get my mind off of the discussion/options that my husband and I talked about this morning. Good morning everyone! It's FRIDAY!!! Sorry I'm a touch late posting, I actually slept until 6 this morning since schools closed today. I'm sitting here looking out my window enjoying the snow that's on the ground! We actually got around 2 inches of accumulation last night! It won't hang around long though being ground temps are so warm. It will be interesting to see Little Man's reaction when he gets up since he's never seen snow before lol. Good morning all! It's finally Friday, and Valentine's Day too! Hubba Hubba 😉 I hope everyone is doing well and has had a great week! I'm getting a tiny bit better each day thankfully! Doing good enough that yesterday I decided to drop one of the meds I've been taking both morning and night and only took it at night because it keeps my stomach tore up through the day and so far so good. Another reason I decided to try dropping it to once a day was because it seems to interact with my seizure medicine and that's not a good thing. I can always go back to taking it if needed though. So anyone have any special plans for the weekend? Special getaway with the significant other for Valentine's Day? Well here we are heading into Hump Day! That middle portion of the 'typical' workweek and hanging on until Friday! It was a weird night here last night. Last night was the first night in several years that the hubby wasn't home and man did it feel weird not having him in the bed. He's been awake since 3:30 yesterday morning, on the clock since 5:30 yesterday morning. Most know that he made the P.E.R.T. Team (Prison Emergency Response Team) several months ago and they have been activated since Saturday.  He also achieved a new position at the prison itself, he went from being a Correctional Officer to becoming the prison's SRG Officer, meaning that he runs their gang identification/classification office that determines if incoming inmates belong to a gang, what gang they belong to, documenting tattoos and everything else about the person which helps determine which prison they will eventually end up at, in which unit and so on. Hey everyone! I apologize for going missing but I've been having some health issues that literally left me laying on my side in my recliner for past 2 weeks. I have only this weekend gotten to where I can actually sit up in my chair for a few hours at a time. Back when I had that stomach virus that Dear Middle Daughter brought home, the doctor called me in some anti-nausea medicine because I was having a hard time keeping my seizure medicines down. Well, unbeknownst to me, that medicine can cause some serious constipation when combined with not being able to drink anything. I thought I wasn't "going" due to the fact I wasn't able to eat but boy oh boy was I wrong. Fecal Impaction, 10 out of 10 do NOT recommend. Well, attempting to pass it and getting it broken up enough to pass through various medical routes led to some serious issues. I was getting worried what happened to our Kat, but got an email from her. Without getting into details, let's just saying she is dealing with some painful issues, so will not be very frequent. We should nevertheless send her our love, at least those of us who know her, and post some encouraging music videos, pics, and wise sayings. And Jenny, too, this one is for you as well. AND anyone else living with pain: my experience with pain has been limited - fortunately - but typical of a male, when I do get pain, I don't handle it well.
