  Good morning peeps! I hope everyone had a good weekend and has had a good week. Mine has been rather rough. I apologize for not posting a Hump-Day thread but was sweetly surprised to see that our Cam posted while I was 'missing'! Thank you so much Cam, it's highly appreciated 🥰! I won't go into detail over the initial issue (though most will probably have an idea of what it is related to) but to top off the initial issue, mom in law decided yesterday that she wanted to stop by here and stick her nose into our marriage of almost 23 years to essentially lay blame... on me. A woman that has only made an effort to stop by and see her son and grandkids once a week after her husband passed away and only stayed for 10 or 15 minutes each time, thinks that she knows what's going on in our marriage. Needless to say that I ended up speaking my mind and while there were some cuss words spoken, I'm even surprised with myself that I didn't cuss 'her' out. I did...

                             It's Hump Day!!!! Looks like Kat is having internet connectivity issues, soooo here goes.  Since MMW was gone for almost 2 weeks, I've been painting and doing spring/fall cleaning. He's finally back home and I'm taking a break from painting and cleaning for about a week. Hands, shoulders, and back have been screaming for several days now, plus knee is saying ENOUGH already. Weather here is still hot with heat index around 110 again today. Looks like possibly rain starting tomorrow (please rain). Everything is turning brown and our humming bird feeders have to be refilled every other day in this heat.  Anyway, hope everyone is having a good start to their week. Keep it light. CAM

  Good Friday morning everyone! I hope everyone has had a good week and is heading in to either a fun or a relaxing weekend! We're planning on doing some more in the house of course but I finally have the hubby understanding and agreeing with, it doesn't all have to happen at once! He's suffering with an infection right now thanks to his messed up teeth. Gotta call the dentist's office after they open to see if they'd be willing to call him an antibiotic in so fingers crossed. So what's everyone got planned for the weekend? Middle Daughter is upset that she can't go to great aunt's this weekend. Our funds are running low and great aunt had an unexpected car repair so she's broke until the end of the month. We helped her last weekend which is one of the reasons we're lower than we want to be but, that's what family does! Anyways! It's Friday and time to take a break from the everyday headaches!

  Good morning peeps! I hope everyone had a good weekend and has had a good start to their week! It's slowly starting to feel more like home around here. My back still isn't straight yet but it's ever so slowly getting back to normal so I'm still taking it one task at a time. I am sooooo thankful that we were able to finally get the A/C replaced as this week has been hot and humid! Also got the drainage issue taken care of this weekend thankfully. It cost a little extra to have the septic crowd come out on the weekend but it wasn't too expensive thankfully and that's one thing off of the 'surprise' to do list lol. Anyways, it's Hump-Day and while the thread is rather short, that's a good thing! It means not much has been going on or wrong (knock on wood!) lol. Y'all know what to do soooooo, let's get to it!

  Good morning peeps! It's finally Friday!!! I hope everyone has had a decent week and is looking forward to either a fun or peaceful, relaxing weekend! This week hasn't been too bad, been taking it rather easy due to my back. It's ever so slowly easing off. The new stove top was put in yesterday (more on that in a minute lol) but the A/C unit didn't arrive Wednesday so that getting done yesterday was a no go. It did arrive yesterday evening though so they'll be coming this morning to put the new unit in! I'll go missing for a bit right after posting this as I really need to get a shower. The guy we're working with did make us aware that the unit arrived and had scratches on 2 of the panels. He said he'd do whatever we wanted but could go ahead and install it so we'd have air and that he'd knock $200 off for now and we could either just keep the $200 and not worry with replacing the scratched panels or he'd order 2 new panels through the warr...

  Good morning! I hope everyone had a good weekend and awesome beginning to their week! I had a rough weekend but I won't go into it since I made a rant thread lol! This week hasn't been too bad so far although today is going to suck with it being hot as heck! It was already 80 degrees when I got up at 7:20. Thankfully the air conditioner will be replaced tomorrow!!! My back still isn't straight although it's ever so slowly easing off. I've been living off of Ibuprofen and Salonpas pain patches so I got a little bit done yesterday but we aren't where we should be in this process thanks to it. I did manage to cook our first dinner in this house though thanks to Middle Daughter's help. The stove top that's built in to the counter top doesn't work so I decided on doing a pot roast with potatoes, carrots and onions... something that could all be cooked at the same time. It's been a rough week to put it mildly. Dealing with temps of just over 80 degrees IN THE HOUSE, mom in law stopping by a few times but at least it's for her to get some more of her stuff, dealing with the A/C sales dude yesterday then the phone call telling him to cancel our purchase. It's been a 'fun' week lol. So the A/C sales dude came out yesterday. He was a nice older fella but this place wanted almost 8k for installing a new unit. I had to talk the hubby off a ledge while I was dangling precariously. The hubby talked to the guy, got the model number for the unit and Googled it, you can buy the unit for $3,200... so this place was going to charge almost $5k just for installation! It was also going to be the end of next week before it came in and they would be able to...

  Good morning everyone! Happy 4th of July! I thought I'd jump on and do a small thread this morning and wish everyone a good day! I'll be on and off as I have to start emptying boxes and finding homes for things. I wasn't able to do too much this past weekend since my back decided it wanted to try to go out without me. Either way, we've spent the past 2 nights in our new home! Little Man is having a tough time adjusting to not being in our room and it didn't help that we had a thunderstorm roll through not long after he went to bed last night, he'll get there though. Lily, our pit, is having a rough time too. She is glued to me constantly, afraid she's going to be left. She was deserted at the shelter we got her from, had extremely bad separation anxiety from the get go and seems terrified that we are going to leave her but I think she'll be ok eventually.   Good morning everyone! I do hope everyone has had a good week and is looking forward to either a fun or relaxing weekend as we begin our Friday! I'm not sure what this weekend will hold for us as mom in law got back from her cruise around midnight last night so now we have extra hands and she can figure out the stuff she has left to box up or get rid of at the house. I'm 'hoping' that we will at least be able to get our bedroom moved and maybe the living room furniture. While I like mom in law well enough, her bed and stuff is set up here already and I'm not too keen on 'living' in the same house with her even if it's only for a night or two lol.
