  Good morning everyone! It's Friday!!! I hope everyone has had a good week! Ours has been pretty good albeit a little 'weird', is ending good though! The weird part is, I don't think mother in law truly wants us to buy her home. I think she did initially but that she has since changed her stance. She had called me the other evening wanting to know the hubby's social security number so that she could update her beneficiaries through work and all and we got to chatting about the whole house thing. The vibe that I got and my gut feeling is that she thinks we should stay where we are and put the money into fixing this place. She kept repeating how no mortgage would "take a lot of weight off of (insert hubby's name here) shoulders and solve a lot of his issues".   Good morning everyone! I hope everyone had an awesome weekend and has had a good week so far! Ours went decent and the week has been somewhat hectic, at least for the hubby. With me not driving on top of our vehicle situation, not only did he have to take Little Man in for his 'well child check up' yesterday but I wasn't able to go like planned. We were going to use Oldest Daughter's SUV but she's been driving it since she busted the headlight on her car so, won't no way we were all fitting in pops' truck to go. He handled everything well and was super pleased when Little Man handled his shots like a champ! Not so much as a grimace when he got popped twice! The nurse and doctor were so impressed with his being a 'big boy' that he got a whole string of stickers lol.  Geri has left me. OK OK, just for a few weeks, to look after her ailing daughter. The first couple of weeks were fun, got to do a lot of "batching." But now I am getting lonesome. I have to hand it to Dodge though, that little car took the hit without getting so much as a dent in it. The only thing it did was bust a headlight! She came back to the house to get her truck so that she wasn't driving the car and possibly causing further damage being she couldn't tell if there were any issues with say the radiator or something. Good morning all! I hope everyone had a good weekend this past weekend and has had a good week so far through to Hump-Day! Ours was ok. The hubby had to take pops' truck over to my brother's place Saturday so that he had the tools needed to repair it. Besides the extra gas it cost us it was another $200 for the part... ugh! And yes, I still call it pops' truck and it will always be his truck even though he's not with us anymore💕. Did get some good news yesterday, we should be done and settled with the state by the end of the month. Had to call and get the pay off for this house yesterday and am basically waiting for a phone call from a different attorney that's handling the 'money' aspect so that we can go in and sign papers and he'll cut checks to the bank, us and to the lawyer that got us way more than we thought possible. I'm even more impressed with the lawyer we had arguing for more money after finding out what a couple other head are getting ...

  Good morning everyone! We did it! We made it to Fridayyyyy!!! The hubby has had a rather easy week and it will continue today lol. He's gotten paid to sit through 3 different 1 day classes for SRG Managers for each prison. He just KNEW that he was gonna be slammed playing catchup back at the prison today but got a call a little while ago from transport needing him to make a trip today so, easy day number 4 lol! He gets to take an inmate (that's being released) to Lumberton which is a 3 hour trip one way. Once he got the call he went ahead and threw his uniform on and headed on in to the prison, figured he'd go ahead in and get 'some' paperwork done before doing new inmate orientation around 8:30 and leaving to Lumberton by 9. Hopefully he'll be back at the prison by end of shift but there's a slight chance he won't be. It won't bother him one way or the other since he's for getting all the overtime he can get.  Good morning all! Welcome to Hump-Day!!! I hope everyone had a good weekend and has had a good start to their week! Ours started out good but took a dark turn Saturday night when the girls and I got sick as a dog! I didn't know that the girls were sick and they didn't know that I had gotten sick until Sunday morning. That's when we realized we must have gotten a touch of food poisoning! We were the only ones to have had plates from our favorite Mexican restaurant! Thankfully, the hubby and Little Man got something to eat from somewhere else so they were spared. I woke up around midnight Saturday night feeling like I was gonna get sick but I have surprisingly good control over that and I was worried about losing my seizure medicine that is timed release so I did everything in my power to not throw up although I knew I'd feel soooooo much better if I did. Oldest Daughter's truck is old and still giving her issues then started doing something 'new' at the beginning of the week. She'd been keeping an eye out online for used cars and surprisingly found one that she liked Wednesday. She fell in love with it and so I helped her get her crap straight so that she could apply to get pre-approved for a car loan through our bank. Then I had to call the hubby/daddy at work to let him know that he HAD to get off of work by a certain time to meet her at the Dodge dealership to look at this car. Everything went good, it's a nice little car, clean, one owner. The dealership had actually sold the car initially and knew the woman, had all of the maintenance records since they had done all servicing's for the car. Middle Daughter went back to her great-aunt's place Thursday and stayed until Saturday, so I had quite a bit of peace lol. Then on Sunday they all cut grass, it's a "family" thing here lol. Hubby goes out first to 'outline' the cutting area and cuts the areas that we consider unsafe. We don't want Middle Daughter attempting to do parts such as on the road side of the ditch and he does several passes on the yard side of the ditch to keep Middle Daughter well away from it. Little Man finally decided about a month ago that he wanted to try 'cutting grass' so he has started riding with both daddy and big sissy as they cut their respective parts.   Good morning everyone! It's time to give a warm round of applause to our special guest, FRIDAY!!! I do hope everyone has had a good week! Of course y'all already know that mine started off rough but it seems to be ending on a decent note. Not that things are 100% around here BUT the ol' man has come home in a better mindset (at least seemingly) and 'happier' each evening. It's starting to cloud up and become a gloomy day.
