Good morning! I hope everyone is doing well and has had a good week! Our's has remained roughly the same so that's a plus since it means that all hell hasn't broken loose (knock on wood 😂)! We all know what kind of curveballs life likes to throw, especially at my head! 🤪 The only thing really changing this week/weekend is my aquarium, again lol. Y'all might remember me 'bitching' about the snail infestation that took over my aquarium after my last round of plants back last June. When the plants came literally the day after the wreck and I let them stay in their shipping package as long as possible but was still hurting so bad that I wasn't able to properly "bleach bath" them to kill any pest snails or eggs that might have been there and then of course...  Well, it's... I hope everyone is doing well this morning! Things are about the same around here except for this crazy ass weather! At 6 this morning, it was 37 degrees outside. The high for today? 77!!! Who, what, when... how??? This time last week there was ice on the ground! 😂🤪 Weather aside, things are pretty much as usual around here lol. Did have a 'weird' day yesterday as in, I don't know why but I was dizzy most of the day. Hubby was extremely worried (of course he has every right to be considering), probably more so because he was on a trip and was halfway across the state for most of the day so he took it upon himself to contact Oldest Daughter and Great Aunt (no clue why on Great Aunt since she wouldn't be able to drive and find her way here even with Google Maps 😂) and had them in at the least, hourly contact with me.   I seriously had to double check what day it is today. I'm all screwed up thanks to our state not knowing how to act when that 'dreaded 4 letter S word' is mentioned 😂. Granted I'm grateful that they've decided that it's better safe than sorry considering the fact that we had at least a half an inch of sleet turned ice in our area. Yesterday was the last "remote" learning day allowed, for whatever reason the state only allows 5 remote learning days due to inclement weather per school year? So today Little Man has no work to do although mommy has other plans 😈 lol.   While it's nothing "new", it is an odd occurrence for our location 😂. The last time that I remember seeing snow in February, it was around 13 (ish) years ago lol. The hubby and I had hit a rough patch and things were bad. Two of our friends (one I had been friends with since high school) got together and set up a Valentine's weekend for us... paid for literally EVERYTHING including prepaid visa cards to cover gas, a special dinner reservation for us for Valentine's Day, the whole shebang! It was February 13th when we were heading out and it snowed for the hour and a half trip to get where we were going and it just made it more magical. Always planned on going to the same place again one day but sadly, Mother Nature had other plans. A few years after our needed weekend getaway, one of the many hurricanes that we get destroyed the place for the 3rd time. Owner decided not to rebuild again. It's still a cherished memory though! It's Friday, it's Valentine's Day and it is my father in law's birthday all in one so a bittersweet reminder of the wonderfully sweet man that was lost sadly 8 days after his 70th birthday. Both Middle Daughter and Little Man have already said they want to light their candle that we have set up on the little table dedicated to his memory in the living room this evening. We have the table set up with his urn, the last hat he had been wearing, pictures, cards and gifts that the kids had given him while he was still with us that he had kept. Even a portrait that Middle Daughter drew of him from a picture I had of him, the one used in his obituary. I could hear pops' dog tags tinkling lightly as Middle Daughter went out of the house this morning to get on the bus.   Good morning all! I hope everyone is doing well today, it's a cooler wet one for us. Weather has gone absolutely bonkers with hitting a high of like 47 today but supposedly 73 tomorrow? Still at a standstill on the truck due to various reasons, everyone still has the freaking nagging cough still although Little Man (of course) is regressing with his yet again. That's just how it goes though! Everyone has their own everyday struggles, battles and heartache and I know that our dear Cam is going through a heartache right now of her own. I won't specify as to what since it's not my 'story' to tell but it would be great if she would be kept in everyone's thoughts.   I have TOTALLY lost track of time this morning! I woke up and actually got up around 3:30 this morning and I swear this morning has flown by! It doesn't seem like it's been just over 3 hours since I sent Little Man out to the bus. I apologize for the thread going up way later than normal. Not much has changed around here, just Middle Daughter being "attacked" by a 'wascaly wabbit' 😂! So the school's FFA club has chickens, guinea pigs and of course, rabbits! Middle Daughter is always one of the ones volunteering to help feed the critters, clean out their areas or do whatever needs to be done. She was already holding either a guinea pig or rabbit when another rabbit bounced itself right on over to her so she bent down and was petting it. Guess it was looking for a treat or something rather than a pat lol.   Good morning peeps! I hope everyone is doing well and has had a great weekend and start to their week! Things haven't been going the greatest for us (yeah, what's new huh?) but we're gonna keep on climbing! Although it seems like somewhat of an avalanche everytime we make any sort of progress. Not going to complain though because there are so many others that are in way worse situations. It is what it is for us here and we will make it through, one way or another!
