  Well, we have made it through the first week of this school year and it's finally Friday!!! While I'd love to say we made it through the week unscathed, y'all already know about the whole bus debacle the other morning but I finally got the app downloaded and set up the account for it where I was met with Little Man's behavior report. Let's say that it hasn't been very good this week 🙄. There ended up being a few messages between his teacher and I and we used that fact to at least improve his behavior for the rest of yesterday. She said that when she told him that she was 'texting mommy' that his eyes grew big as saucers and it was an immediate change in his behavior and attitude 😂. She said it took all of her restraint to not laugh when he turned from hard headed brat into the deer stuck in the headlights 🤣. Hopefully the knowledge that she now has direct line of communication with momma combined with the discussion his father and I had with him yes...

  Good morning all! I hope everyone had a good weekend and is looking forward to another upcoming weekend filled with whatever your heart desires! Well, school started back here this past Monday. Monday went by swimmingly, no issues with either kid getting up or getting ready, busses came right on time and off they went! It just wouldn't be "me" though if something didn't happen during some point of the week and it started on school day #2 😂. So Little Man gets up yesterday, is super proud because he's now getting up with his own alarm clock (lol, the same one he slept through this morning) and he got ready without much nagging from me then went on out the door to wait for the bus when I told him that it was time to.   Good morning all! I hope everyone is doing well and I'm calling it fabulous Friday because I am starting with... I get my days back to peaceful days starting Monday!!!   Good morning everyone! I hope all is well with everybody! It's that time of the again where peeps start looking forward to the weekend! Not much going on around here this week but the weekend looks to be like a busy one. Busier than I'd like but, it is what it is! So I had court Monday morning. It was irritating as all get out. Hubby goes in with me because of course I can't drive so he had to take me and since he's dealt with MANY a tickets in his 'driving life', he knows the ropes whereas I'd only ever had 1 ticket in my life before this lol. So he was going in with me and of course we walk in and as I'm going through the metal detectors, he's told that he can't have his cell phone in there. Ok, no biggie, it's irritating but a rule so he takes it all the way back out to the truck (I'd already left mine in the console). He finally gets back in and THEN they tell him, "Oh yeah, you can't go in because you have shorts on."...

 Anyone here miss me? What a summer! One of the most adventurous ones I have had in years. Though not exactly as I had planned it.  I posted at the beginning of summer that I would be away for most of the summer. I did peak in when I could. For the most part I stuck to my commitment to take the summer off. To start, we again started with some aggressive apartment hunting. The perfect apartment we thought we had found, thanks to it facing a lake and an incredible view, hasn't turned out so ideal after all. Yet, still, nothing better has presented itself. Still looking. Then Geri and I took a trip. First revisiting some of my favorite haunts in Toronto. A place I often visited in my youth. How it has changed! The charm is gone. Replaced by urban sprawl. Sad. Then we headed out to Quebec. Montreal and Quebec City. Bed and breakfast. Totally loved it. Though not in our original plans, we felt like "let's just keep going."   Good morning! I hope everyone is doing well today! Doing pretty good around here, actually seeing some sunlight! Things were dry enough yesterday that I was able to get the grass cut so that's one thing down although it's never ending lol. Hubby got home sometime last night, I have no idea of what time since I was already snoozing. Kind of surprised that I didn't wake up when he slid in the bed, so I've yet to see him 😂.  Good morning and I hope everyone is doing well. Doing pretty good over this way, still soggy as all get out from the storms but looking forward to decent weather for a while now. Now it's just waiting for the ground to dry out enough to cut grass. Gonna put Little Man to work first picking up a bunch of limbs that have fallen with all the storms and wind we've had over the past week.  Good morning and as you can probably tell from the thread title, this would be me this morning... actually, this would be me pretty much this entire week 🤔🙃 With Little Man being gone there's been little to no TV on, every day being rather dark and gloomy outside and while the floor needs a good mopping, doing so while there is water standing in the yard and 2 fur brats constantly going in and out would be rather pointless. I did absolutely nothing yesterday, don't think I really did anything Wednesday for that matter. My only 'goal' for today is to get Little Man's bed stuff washed so he has a nice clean bed to snuggle into once he comes back home, be it tomorrow or Sunday.   Good morning all, I hope everyone is doing well! I'm fighting to stay awake as it's such a gloomy, grey and rainy day lol. I was lucky enough to get the grass cut yesterday and literally as I was driving the mower out of the backyard gate, it started raining. It's been pretty much nonstop since then, only varying in if it's an extremely light drizzle or a flat out downpour. And thanks to Debbie, we have what looks to be at least a week of it. It could always be worse though! I hope everyone had a good weekend! Ours was a typical weekend with the exception of Sunday being busy and the day we did the escape room. I have to say, I enjoyed it and want to do another one lol! The story line of it was your blood (as well as the blood of whomever is doing the room with you) was taken and will be used to create a clone of you if you don't find and 'destroy' the vials of blood within the hour timeframe.  Sorry! Time got WAY ahead of me this morning! Anyways... I actually got up at 6 this morning and Little Man got up around 8-ish. I don't know where time got to but it didn't dawn on me that I hadn't posted a thread until I was thinking about what time it was about midway through my shower 😂. Oops!
