SO it's been a month of living with Geri, and while it has been delightful, and I have not missed my bachelorhood as much as I thought I would, I thought I would add this thread to discuss a common relationship topic: WHAT DRIVES YOU CRAZY ABOUT YOUR SIGNIFICANT OTHER? Actually - the one thing about Geri that kind of drives me crazy but is also a blessing, is how she tidies up after me. Having been a bachelor for SO many years, I am used to tidying after myself at my own pace, but she can't go to bed if there are dishes in the sink, clothes get picked up and put into the hamper, and if we are short ONE item in the fridge, out she goes to get that item, where as I waiting till shopping day to stock up. It's same ol' same ol' here, other than I'm thinking about having the hubby stop on his way home from work to pick up some shotgun shells and have him ask his pops if he minds if I use his handgun for some target practicing this weekend. Yup, went to bed early last night and am still about half out of it this morning 🙄 I think I'm fixin' to piss Little Man off by not waiting for him to wake up before going in to get my shower lol. Good morning everyone! It's Friday!!! Time to rise and shine and get this day started! At least I have the 'rise' part going for me... somewhat lol! So anything new going on? I was actually pleasantly surprised Wednesday afternoon, the fish that weren't supposed to arrive until today showed up early! I spent the rest of the day slowly acclimating them to the water in my tank then not long before bed they were set free to explore. Sadly, one of the baby plecos didn't make it. After opening the box and pulling the bag that the plecos were in out, I knew he probably wouldn't make it through the night... sadly, he didn't even make it through the acclimation process. Nothing too complex here folks. Recently I have started to feel some of the effects of aging, though I am hardly old. But a wee bit of arthritis creeping into my hips, and need for glasses, and some dental issues have me realized: SOME THINGS JUST SUCK ABOUT getting older And don't even get me started on needing to use: BUT - there are a lot of advantages to aging as well: most of us become wiser (though in my case that hardly matters as I have always been wise) we tend to let the everyday nuisances drift over us and if we are lucky get less uptight than we did when we were younger If we are lucky enough, like me, to retire comfortably, and our health is still up to par, we can do the things we missed out on, everything from trips to gardening. Whew, someone pour me some coffee please! To say last night was rough is an understatement lol. As I've said before on the blog, I take enough sleeping meds to knock out a horse, my doctor has actually corrected me in this statement and said I take enough to knock out TWO horses lol and yet still have issues sleeping some nights. Last night, I was first awakened by a lot of light shining in our bedroom. The a$$hole from next door (drug dealer) has people in and out of that place all night and for some reason, this is the third time that one of them parked so that their headlights were pointing directly into our bedroom window with them set to high beam. I think that the next time that happens, I will lean out the back door and fire a round or two off from the shot gun to watch them scatter like roaches as they've done before when I was outside target practicing with my brother one afternoon 😈. Eventually fall back asleep after that only to wake up a short time...

Good morning everyone! Time to rise and shine! (At least I've got the rising part done lol) I do hope everyone is doing well on this Hump-Day! I honestly didn't think it was already Wednesday, it sure doesn't feel like it. Although I'm not sure what any particular day feels like anymore being they all blur together! While I won't delve into the fray and won't allow comments to delve in either, it suffices to say that we are in the midst of some very troubling times and leave it at that. I say let's attempt to have a little fun and get the worries of the times off of our minds for a little while. Continued stress and negativity has a major impact on one's health without a little bit of laughter and love for life. Laughter (and love) is truly the best medicine! Hey all. I wanted to make a post to make everyone aware of some issues that one of our commentators has been experiencing and what we've found out so far. This may get a little long, I'll try not to ramble but I want people aware of what we've found and how to prevent issues for themselves. Most people know or know of Nugget. She had been a part of Disqus and of the blog once the channels ended, decided the drama wasn't worth it and left. Recently, she has come back! Before she had left, she had started having issues with a new cell phone though nothing 'suspicious'. After returning, all hell has broke loose with her phone and she's recently discovered that her phone had indeed been hacked. After consulting with multiple support people (with her phone and antivirus, etc...), it has been discovered that the hacker accessed her information through the Disqus commenting platform.
